Kymaster’s Advanced Die Manufacturing Process

We supply ring dies for all pellet mill types, ring die processing includes forging, rough turning, drilling holes, finish turning, grinding inner bore and enough heat treatment.

1. Materials Forging

We choose custom blank with higher Cr raw material, and hardness of blank is controlled, range from HB180 to HB220., life life can be enhanced about 15%. Less impurities and high purity.

2. Rough Lathing Process (Before drilling)

We use automatic CNC lathing machine to lathe ring dies/ flat dies.

3. Drilling Holes Process

Completely automatic advanced gun drilling machine, rotating speed up to 15000 revolutions.
Holes smooth or not will directly affect the discharging when producing pellets. Drilling machine will be a important factor. All pellet mill dies are drilled by precision machining-CNC machining center to ensure inner holes mirror polishment, good smooth, high polished and good forming.

With more than 30 years die manufacturing experiences, ensuring precise assembly size and arranging size of die holes. Reasonable design of compression rate, depth of die hole, hole opening rate design, meeting the different requirements of poultry and livestock feed and aqua feed industry.

4. Countersinking, Drilling Screws& Keyway Process

All ring dies are countersinked by automatic CNC countersinking machines to ensure its smooth and uniform.

5. Heat Treatment Process

Heat treatment is a key point, common methods such as normalizing, tempering, quenching, carburization and nitriding. It will be treated with proper method during different raw materials.Stainless steel/ SS ring die can reach HRC 54-58, Alloy steel/ AS ring die can reach HRC57-60. More wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. 

The specialized heat-treating center carries out key heat-treatment for the semi-finished products with vacuum furnace, CNC controls process program, ensuring die quality stability.

6. Strict quality control for each process

We arrange the quality inspector to check the quailty for each process, strictly control the quality to guarantee final pellet dies are good.

7. Packing Process

After quality inspection is no problem, we will arrange the packing with wood boxes to make sure cargoes are in good condition during transportation.
